Hairston Motorsports & Racing Qualifies #12 at SCSN

Las Vegas, NV (November 18-21) - The Hairston Motorsports & Racing team attended the incredible Street Car Super Nationals and was successful in qualifying in the #12 spot in the 32 car field. Clint “The Milkman” Hairston’s qualifying time of 6.311 @ 236.05 fell below the team’s expectations but put them in the top half of the field.

The team experienced a broken transmission at Thursday nights T&T and a valve train failure in the first round of qualifying requiring an engine change. The crew did a great job in the getting the car ready for the second round of qualifying putting the car solidly in the field. Unfortunately, some additional clutch problems kept the team from improving their position on Saturday.

Sunday eliminations were met with dropping temperatures and increased wind gusts ultimately causing the race to be shortened to 1/8th mile later in the day. Our first round opponent was Yvonne Lucas driving her beautiful 68 Camaro with 762 cubic inches of Fulton power. This was a great race with Clint pulling away for the victory running 6.21 to Yvonne’s career best 6.41. Our race ended with a second round loss to the eventual runner-up Guiseppe Gentile.

Even though we had hoped for another final round appearance like in 2009, the Hairston team had a great year winning the PSCA Championship and setting both the ET and MPH records. We look forward to another great year in 2011.
